Geocache Description:

26 May 2019, 09:45 - 11:15

Start time 9.45am, event finish time is 11.15am. Meet at co-ords for 9.45am, ready to drop lines into the water at 10am, the competition will run for an hour. All crabs must be in the buckets for judging by 11am. We will then judge and announce the winner.

Very simply all you need to bring is…..

1. Crabbing line  - no crabbing pots, or crabbing nets.

2. Bucket

3. Bait (Smokey bacon is a crab favourite)

Remember please this is just for a little bit of light hearted fun, so the use of a bucket or a hand held net to aid with landing the crabs will be aloud.

The competition will be judged on the number of crabs caught on a hand-line, a single line that can have either bait tied on or attached in a little net bag (similar to those that can be used in the washing machine)

Lines may be weighted and baited with competitors choice of bait

Only live crabs caught during the competition will be judged

As crabs are caught they must be put straight into your bucket, which should only contain sea water (and other crabs)

A small prize will be awarded for the following:-

The largest crab caught by size not weight

The team or individual who catches the most crabs. To make it fair the total number of crabs caught will be divided by the number of people in the team.

We have looked ast when the tide is & it will be starting to come in at this time.

Thanks to Tuckertribe for organising this event last year & letting us continue it this year.
