Bremerton used a grant to develop an inclusive playground at Evergreen Rotary Park, located on the waterfront 1/4 mile east of State Highway 303, between downtown and Olympic College. These improvements created Bremerton and Kitsap County’s first fully accessible playground designed to provide play opportunities for all children regardless of ability. The project constructed a new playground in an existing park, added ADA parking spaces to the main parking area, and vegetation to the park’s shoreline. The primary recreational opportunity provided in this project is individual child and family play.
This is a 10.31 acre community park. Site of the Farmers Market (Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, May-October), inclusive playground and Kitsap 9/11 Memorial. Please do not trample or scavenge around the landscaping. Please be stealthy when searching and return cache the way you found it.
