The Gib has many walking trails and the views overlooking Mittagong are extensive. The reserve is the ongoing scene of dedicated volunteers eradicating exotic weeds and shrubs. At the start of this effort the Local RFS controlled burnt the reserve burning the overgrown many blackberry bushes some as big as houses, this allowed the volunteers a clear canvas to tackle new growth of the exotics.
The cache is slightly bigger than a cigarette package.
The road is up to the gate which controlls vechicle access to the reserve, the main Sydney to Melbourne train line is below this area and photo opportunities are the for both trains and wild life / flowers.
