This is our first family cache.
We have chosen this spot together as it is a place we visit often. You can enjoy a picnic, bike ride, play park, build dens, or, just walk around. We discover something new every time we go, and thanks to another geocacher; recently discovered a pond dipping area, which we love.
There is the main car park (now have to pay for but is minimal) and would highly recommend going off the main path and into the wooded areas to discover den building places and other nature trails.
To find this cache you will need to walk to the other end from the main car park by following the main path from the childrens play area. When you get to a steep hill on the corner your coordinates should take you off the beaten track and into a wooded area where it may be a little boggy/hilly, so make sure you have your wellies/walking boots. It is only a very short distance from the main path so to be as family friendly as possible and there is a visible fott trodden path that takes you down this hill. There are trees with heavily dense ivy in this spot. Depending on the time of year may be more; or less. The coordinates keep changing automatically every time I log on so the excat coordinates are: 53.080982,-3.009958
We have left a clear tub, inside another clear bag with yellow zip tab, clearly marked with official geocache stickers. Inside there are some homemade gifts for whoever finds it first, which you are most welcome to take. I just politely ask that you replace with something for the next geocacher to find. There is a log keyring with pencil and pencil sharpener; also a small book, which you can draw/write in (please make sure this goes back inside the bag to keep waterproof). Please make sure all the latter items remain in the spot for others to enjoy. I will also place new items in as and when I come to check on maintenance.
