On a day that started out as a cache maintenance run, we sort of kept on going until we found ourselves up in the mountains. The view is fantastic from up here! There are plenty of critters, birds and insects, but not a lot of people. If you just need to get out of town and back out in the woods, if they're calling for you, let them call you around to the backside of Mary's Peak from a new direction. The cache may be hard to find; our cell phones actually worked up here, but under the trees, the coordinates might skip a bit. Use your senses, and yes, its a Bison in the Woods, so look in all the obvious (and not so obvious) places. There are already blackberries starting to spread out, and there may be poison oak up here, though it isn't obvious yet. Also, watch your step; the ground is pretty spongy.
