Geocache Description:

Bucky’s Our Iowa Signs

The history of Burma-Shave which was a brand of brushless shaving cream that was sold from 1925 to 1966. The company was notable for its innovative advertising campaign, which included rhymes posted all along the nation’s roadways. Typically, six signs were erected, with each of the first five containing a line of verse, and the sixth displaying the brand name. The Burma-Shave sign series appeared from 1925 to 1963 for a total of 7,000 set of signs in the lower 48 states.

The idea for this geocache series started several years ago. When in 2010 Our Iowa Magazine set out to bring back the Burma Shave Signs to Iowa. Three years later they had erected one set of signs in all 99 counties with one small change, each sign would end with the words “Our Iowa”.

Where are these signs?
