Szlak Gryfitów
Dawno temu, na ziemiach otaczających Bałtyk, przez ponad pół tysiąca lat panowała dynastia Gryfitów. Ich symbol - gryf - mityczne zwierzę o ciele lwa, głowie, szponach i skrzydłach orła do dziś jest symbolem Pomorza. Szlak Gryfitów pozwoli Wam poznać miejsca związane z panowaniem tej dynastii.
Zamek Książąt Pomorskich w Szczecinie
Położony na wzgórzu w pobliżu Odry renesansowy Zamek Książąt Pomorskich w Szczecinie to historyczna siedziba rodu Gryfitów. Obecny jego kształt jest rezultatem burzliwej historii regionu. Dwa dziedzińce otacza pięć skrzydeł budowli, nad którymi górują wieże: Dzwonów, Więzienna i Zegarowa. Fasady zamku zdobią późnogotyckie maswerki i renesansowe attyki, posąg biskupa Ottona z Bambergu, płyty Barnima III i Barnima XI, Filipa II i Franciszka I oraz barokowy zegar ozdobiony między innymi gryfami i postacią książęcego błazna, wybijającego kwadranse i godziny.
Zamek kolekcjonuje pamiątki z okresu dynastii Gryfitów. Do jego atrakcji turystycznych należą m. in. książęce sarkofagi w krypcie grzebalnej, Gabinet Lubinusa, wybitnego kartografa XVII w., z cennym egzemplarzem jego Wielkiej Mapy Księstwa Pomorskiego. Jedną ze stałych wystaw jest Cela Czarownic, poświęcona szlachciance Sydonii von Borck, z replikami XVI- i XVII-wiecznych narzędzi kar i tortur.
Zamek Książąt pomorskich w Szczecinie to jeden z najważniejszych zabytków Pomorza Zachodniego. Jest on również siedzibą instytucji kultury pod taką samą nazwą, która organizuje wystawy, imprezy plenerowe, koncerty, spotkania, konferencje naukowe. Zamek Książąt Pomorskich w Szczecinie jest największą w województwie instytucją upowszechniającą kulturę w regionie. Prowadzi własne galerie wystawowe, Kino Zamek, Teatr Piwnica przy Krypcie oraz Centrum Informacji Kulturalnej i Turystycznej.
Obecnie w zamku swoją siedzibę mają również Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Zachodniopomorskiego, Opera na Zamku, a także restauracja Na Kuncu Korytarza.
Zamek czynny jest od wtorku do niedzieli w godzinach od 10:00-18:00.
Zabytek położony jest w centrum Starego Miasta, w pobliżu bazyliki archikatedralnej św. Jakuba. Łatwo do niego dotrzeć z dworca PKP i PKS nie tylko komunikacją miejską, ale także pieszo.

The Griffin Trail
A long time ago, the Griffin Dynasty ruled the land surrounding the Baltic Sea for over five hundred years. Their symbol - the griffin, a mystical creature with the body of a lion, and the head, claws and wings of an eagle has been the symbol of Pomerania ever since. The Griffin Dynasty Route will allow us to get to know the places related to the rule of the dynasty.
Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin
Located on a hill near the Odra river, the Renaissance Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin is the historical seat of the Griffin Dynasty. Its current form results from the region’s turbulent history. The two courtyards are surrounded by the Castle’s five wings topped with the towers: Bell Tower, Prison Tower, and Clock Tower. The Castle’s facades are decorated with late-Gothic tracery, Renaissance attics, a statue depicting bishop Otto of Bamberg, the stone plaques of Barnim III, Barnim XI, Philip II, Francis I, and an Baroque clock featuring, among others, griffins and the figure of the dukes’ jester striking hours and quarters of an hour.
The Castle collects artefacts from of the Griffin Dynasty rule period. Its tourist attractions include, among others, the ducal sarcophagi in the burial crypts, and the Study of Lubinus - a prominent 17th century cartographer - whose precious copy of the famous Great Map of the Pomeranian Duchy is also displayed here. One of the permanent expositions is Witches’ Cell, dedicated to Sidonia von Borck (a Pomeranian noblewoman accused of witchcraft, executed in 1620), with replicas of 16th and 17th century punishment and torture devices.
The Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin is one of the most important heritage sites in the entire region of West Pomerania. It also serves as the headquarters for the cultural institution of the same name, committed to organising expositions, open-air events, concerts, meetings, as well as scientific conferences. The Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle is the largest institution dedicated to promoting culture in the region and the entire voivodship. It runs its own galleries, the cinema “Zamek”, the Theater “Piwnica przy Krypcie”, as well as a Cultural and Tourist Information Centre.
Currently, the Castle hosts, among others, the offices of the Marshal Office of the West Pomerania Region, the Opera na Zamku and the restaurant “Na Kuncu Korytarza”.
The Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle is open from Tuesdays through Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Castle is located in the heart of Szczecin’s Old Town, within easy walking distance from the Cathedral Basilica of St James. It can be easily accessed from the main train and bus stations by public transportation, or on foot.

Die Greifen-Route
Vor langer Zeit, in den Ländern an der Ostsee, herrschte über ein halbes Jahrtausend lang die Dynastie der Greifen. Ihr Symbol - der Greif - ein Fabeltier mit dem Körper eines Löwen, Kopf, Klauen und Flügeln eines Adlers ist bis heute das Symbol Pommerns. Die Greifenroute ermöglicht es Ihnen, die mit der Herrschaft dieser Dynastie verbundenen Orte kennen zu lernen.
Das Schloss der Pommerschen Herzöge in Szczecin
Das in der Nähe der Oder gelegene Renaissance-Schloss der pommerschen Herzöge ist ein historischer Sitz der Greifen-Dynastie. Seine aktuelle Form ergibt sich aus der turbulenten Geschichte der Region. Die zwei Innenhöfe sind von den fünf Flügeln des Schlosses umgeben, die von den Türmen gekrönt werden: Glockenturm, Gefängnisturm und Uhrturm. Die Fassaden des Schlosses sind mit spätgotischen Maßwerken, Renaissance-Attiken, einer Statue mit Bischof Otto von Bamberg, den Steinplaketten von Barnim III., Barnim XI., Philip II., Franz I. und einer Barockuhr versehen, die unter anderem durch Greifen und eine Figur des die Stunden und Viertelstunden schlagenden Hofnarren der Herzöge verschönert ist.
Das Schloss sammelt Artefakte aus der Herrschaftszeit der Greifen-Dynastie. Zu den touristischen Attraktionen zählen unter anderem die herzoglichen Sarkophage in den Krypten und Kabinett von Lubinus, einem prominenten Kartographen des 17. Jahrhunderts, mit einer kostbaren Kopie seiner berühmten Großen Karte des Pommerschen Herzogtums. Eine der Dauerausstellungen stellt die Hexenzelle mit Repliken von Straf- und Foltergeräten des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts dar, die der Sidonia von Borcke (einer 1620 hingerichteten pommerschen Adeligen) gewidmet ist.
Das Schloss der Pommerschen Herzöge ist eins der wichtigsten Kulturdenkmäler in der gesamten Region Westpommern. Es wurde auch zum Sitz der gleichnamigen Kulturinstitution, die Ausstellungen, Open-Air-Events, Konzerte, Tagungen sowie wissenschaftliche Konferenzen organisiert. Das Schloss der pommerschen Herzöge ist die größte Institution, die sich mit der Kulturförderung in der Region und der gesamten Woiwodschaft beschäftigt. Es betreibt eigene Galerien, das Kino "Zamek", das Theater "Piwnica przy Krypcie" sowie ein Kultur- und Touristeninformationszentrum.
Derzeit haben in dem Schloss unter anderem Marschallamt der Woiwodschaft Westpommern, die Oper “Opera na Zamku” und das Restaurant „Na Kuncu Korytarza“ seinen Sitz.
Das Schloss der Pommerschen Herzöge ist dienstags bis sonntags von 10.00 Uhr bis 18 Uhr geöffnet. Es liegt im Herzen der Stettiner Altstadt, nur wenige Gehminuten von der Basilika St. Jakob entfernt. Es ist leicht vom Hauptbahnhof und Busbahnhof mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder zu Fuß zu erreichen.
