A Cache Pirate is stealing cache around Tacoma and we need your super sleuth abilities to figure out who it is and stop them! This cache series is based on the classic Clue board game. You will need to find cards in each of the 21 caches to solve the mystery, then visit the final cache location to make the accusation to see if you are correct.
In this game there are eight possible Suspects, eight possible TOTT's (Tools Of The Trade) they may be using and eight iconic locations around Tacoma the suspect may be. At each of the caches in this series you will fine one card with either a Suspect, TOTT or Location. Keep track of the cards you find on the Detectives Notepad to eliminate them as possibilities. The three cards that remain, one suspect, one TOTT and one Locations, after you find all 21 cards are the solution you will need. Don't bother guessing, though, there are too many combinations and it will be too time consuming.
One you have deduced the solution, go to the final series cache, GC84M1C to alert the authorities and see that the Cache Pirate is brought to justice!
TO FIND THIS CACHE, YOU MUST NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
The cache IS inside the library and placed with the head librarian's permission.

To figure out WHERE the cache is, you need to do a little math. At the listed coordinates you will need to find a 4 digit number near the doors to the library. Take that 4 digit number and apply it to the following equation:
(4 digit number) MINUS 184.03 = THE CALL NUMBER FOR THE CACHE (ADD NWR after the number. This is the call number on the cache)
Head inside and go up to the floor C2. Head to the Northwest Room. This is where the cache is. NO NEED TO ROAM ALL OVER THE LIBRARY. Once on floor C2, walk past the librarian's desk heading towards the wall with all of the windows and the double doors. As you head towards that wall, look to your left past the bust thats sitting on a pedestal. You will see a bookshelf against the same wall with the double doors. The bookshelf is next to a door marked "Staff Only". Focus your search on this bookshelf. Please try to avoid asking for help from the library staff. While a couple of the staff members know where the cache is, most do not. Don't be afraid to explore the library. This is Tacoma's main library. Lots to see and check out.
