Small magnetic container a few feet back from Putney Embankment. No pencil. At very high tide you could get your feet wet approaching the cache.
This part of the River is sometimes referred to as "Boathouse Row" after the similarly named historic site on the east bank of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, due to the proliferation of rowing clubs here. You will see the Oxford and Cambridge boat crews training here in the weeks leading up to the University Boat Race in April each year, the start line being located just downstream before Putney Bridge. On the opposite bank are the trees of Bishop's Park and behind them, although out of sight, Fulham Palace.
