Currently, Great Saling is the home of Koda_2018 and we've only been 'caching since April 2018 and our first find was GC3TAK3. Stumbling across this on a walk out and about. "Ko" then explained to "Da" all about Geocaching and one of the cards we found in this cache explained it best. "Geocaching is what happens when nerds go outside!"
Great Saling is a village and a civil parish in the Braintree district of the English county of Essex. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 282. It is near the town of Braintree. The hamlet of Blake End is part of the parish.
The £350,000 Salings Millennium Village Hall is the result of almost two decades of fundraising and campaigning in the two villages.
The decision to build a new hall was taken in the 1980s, although the present campaign was launched only three years ago. Builders put the finishing touches to the new building just hours before the opening ceremony.
