Thunder Mountain Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

scheibwife: Another cache bites the dust... somebody in the area has been using the geocaching apps to STEAL CONTAINERS... so this ammo can has probably gone AWOL to the black market of ammo cans...

Not replacing, as it wasn't originally ours anyway. Area open for someone else to try their luck!

Geocache Description:

In a day use area - pretty but watch out for logging acitivity. Altitude is 6015 feet.

There once was a family who camped
Even though the weather was damp.
They had all they'd need
On the shores of Stampede
So off to the dam they did tramp.

The lake it was pretty and blue
But the well-hidden places were few
So they followed the loggers
And occasional joggers
The beautiful forest to view.

They passed over a wooden span.
At Davies Creek they waved at a man.
But first thunder, then lightning,
Became somewhat frightening,
So they stashed the treasure and ran.

Life was quite busy they found
but luckily, scheibwife's in town.
So she adopted their cache
while through life, off they dash!
The cache is still here to be found!
