Acqua in bocca!
Questa semplicissima multi-cache vi accompagnerà per una breve passeggiata per il centro storico di Chiavenna, soffermandosi a visitare antiche fontane e fontanelle in pietra ollare che ci potranno dissetare e che ci forniranno gli indizi per raggiungere una piccola cache finale. Naturalmente le vie di Chiavenna sono molto frequentate da babbani ed è quindi necessaria furtività e soprattutto...acqua in bocca!
Attenzione: Chiavenna è molto vicino alle montagne quindi in valle il posizionamento GPS degli smartphone può risultare non del tutto affidabile; le posizioni dei waypoint sono state verificate con le mappe alle quali potete anche voi affidarvi per una maggiore precisione.

This very simple multi-cache will accompany you for a short walk through the historic center of Chiavenna, to visit ancient soapstone fountains and drinking fountains that can quench your thirst and provide clues to reach a small cache. Along the streets of Chiavenna you will find many Muggles , therefore stealth is needed and above all ... water in the mouth! Attention: Chiavenna is very close to the mountains so in the valley smartphones GPS positioning may not be reliable; waypoints positions have been verified with the maps to which you can also entrust yourself for greater precision.
"Acqua in bocca!"
The italian expression "Acqua in bocca" literally translates as "water in the mouth" and it means you should keep something quiet. Instead of someone saying, “Keep it to yourself,” in Italian, you’d be told to “keep the water in your mouth.” After all, if you've got a mouth full of water you won't be doing much talking.... and today you're going to find a lot of mouths full of water!!
Stage 1 - A
Arrivando dalla stazione o da uno dei due posteggi segnalati incontriamo al primo waypoint una bella fontana in pietra ollare. Sul bordo della fontana si trova una incisione dove è riportato anche l'anno di costruzione. Per calcolare il primo indizio sommare i numeri della data (es. 1855=1+8+5+5=19).
Coming from the station or from one of the two marked parking lots we meet at the first waypoint a beautiful soapstone fountain. On the side of the fountain there is an incision where the year of construction is also reported. For the first clue add the date numbers (eg 1855 = 1 + 8 + 5 + 5 = 19).

Stage 2 - B
Anche al secondo waypoint troviamo una bella fontana in pietra ollare e anche qui dobbiamo cercare sulla vasca della fontana una incisione con la data e sommarne i numeri come allo stage 1
Also at the second waypoint we find a beautiful soapstone fountain and even here we have to search the fountain basin for an incision with the date and add the numbers as in stage 1

Stage 3 - C
Arriviamo ora alla piazza centrale di Chiavenna dove da una fontana del sedicesimo secolo escono 10 zampilli di acqua. Ma solo alcuni zampilli escono dalla bocca di altrettante teste, solo queste teste hanno quindi ....l'acqua in bocca
We now come to the central square of Chiavenna where 10 water spurts come out of a 16th century soapstone fountain. Only a few spurts come out of heads mouths, only these heads have therefore ... "water in the mouth"!

Stage 4 - D
Al prossimo passo troveremo ancora una testa con "l'acqua in bocca"...ma quale testa troveremo 1, 2 o 3?
At the next step we will still find a head with "water in the mouth" ... but which head will we find 1, 2 or 3?

Anche in quest'ultimo stage troverete una semplice fontanella ...ma quante teste con "acqua in bocca" troveremo questa volta?

At the final coordinates you will find a last beautiful drinking fountain (dated 1899) and the cache (dated 2019). For a geocacher's eye, the cache is clearly visible at GZ but if you want you can use the spoiler photo in the gallery.
