Tempio Votivo di Bergamo
Il Tempio Votivo della Pace è la chiesa parrocchiale della Conca d’Oro: eretto per adempiere il voto fatto dalla Città di Bergamo durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale per non essere stata colpita dai bombardamenti.
Dalla forma compatta e massiccia si passa ad un interno monumentale ed arioso, dove il fedele si sente partecipe della liturgia.
Si erge alla fine di una scalinata che dona alla struttura maestosità e rigore.
E’ circondato da spazi verdi che lo nascondono alla vista del passante distratto e solo volgendo lo sguardo in alto riesce a percepirne le linee precise.
Dalle Mura di città alta è inconfondibile la sua cupola rotonda.
