A family friendly cache off the beaten path near Red River New Mexico.
Reaching this cache will require a short drive and a nice walk, not a hike, down established forest trails.
As you near the cache site, the paved road will turn into an improved forest road. It is rocky. It is bumpy. You do NOT need a high clearance vehicle. The geocaching family Windstar mini van did not bottom out a single time. Drive slowly and enjoy the scenery. Park at the trailhead.
This cache is at 9635' above sea level.
