Geocache Description:

22 June 2019, 10:00 - 10:30

Today is Worldwide Flashmob Day! In hundreds of cities around the world, tens of thousands of geocachers are hosting flash mobs at the exact same time! The WWFM is the annual GEOCACHING flash mob extravaganza which was started in 2007 by Team PodCacher.

This is a Flashmob event, so it is important that everyone follow these instructions precisely. It is recommended that you get to the event early and wander around the park like a muggle, as flashmobs require very precise timing! Please bring a banana with you

Schedule:
At precisely 10:00am

Take out your banana, hold it to your ear and start walking around the fountain talking to it like it's a phone for the next 10 minutes.
At 10:15am let's gather around the statue to take a photo with our bananas and chat.

At 10:30, the event is over. Walk off in a random direction, dispersing in varying directions as if nothing had happened!

We'll reconvene in a different location at the benches near the stage for anyone who wants to chat about geocaching or form a group to cache in the park afterwards

Parking Advice

John F Kennedy Drive is closed from Stanyan to Park Presidio on Saturdays, so please allocate extra time to find your route! Street Parking in Golden Gate Park fills up, so get here early to hunt for parking.
