This is a series of geocaches honouring important figures from London's historical past.
Helen Battle was a pioneering Canadian ichthyologist and marine biologist. She was born in London and earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Western Ontario. She was the first Canadian woman to earn a PhD in marine biology, from the University of Toronto. She returned to Western where she taught zoology from 1929 to 1967. She was one of the first zoologists to actively apply laboratory research methods to marine problems.
The geocache is a short climb up a pine tree on the edge of a parking lot.
