Hurjan pojan koti se on rakennettu

koti maailman kulkureille,

ja ikkunass' on kalterit
ja näköala kaupungille

Enää ei ole Kakolan ikkunoissa kaltereita eikä siellä majoiteta köyhiäkään kuten kansanlaulussa. Mutta palatkaamme kuitenkin näihin maisemiin ja tunnelmiin tämän Wherigo-kierroksen ajaksi. Reitti on tarkoitettu turistiystävälliseksi ja esittelee pittoreskia Turkua mutta esittelee myös seikkoja joita et välttämättä turistioppaasta löydä.
Kierrosta ei käytännössä voi suorittaa yöaikaan, kätkö on kuitenkin haettavissa mihin aikaan tahansa. Reitti on maastoltaan ykkösen tasoa mutta kätkö on hieman hankalampi, jos lunta on enemmän voi T2 olla lähempänä totuutta. Aikaa Wherigoon kuluu 45 minuutista alle kahteen tuntiin riippuen miten nopeasti taapertaa eteenpäin ja lukee kuvailuja. Mutta näköaloja varten kannattaa varata aikaa! Matkan varrelta voi myös löytää muita kätköjä joten geoturistien kannattaa välillä tarkistaa missä kuljetaan. Kasetti on testattu luurin sovelluksella.

Wild Boy's Home
According to a Finnish folk song the 'wild boy' lives in his home built on a high hill above the Aura river, where there are homes for both the rich and the poor and vagabonds, and where doors are made of iron and the barred windows offer a view to the city.
The wild boy's home of course was the Kakola prison in Turku. Nowadays there are no bars in windows and the poor have no place there anymore. But let's go back in time with this Wherigo tour! This tour is intended to be tourist friendly and shows you some of the picturesque Turku. You will also learn facts that most tourist guides will not mention.
The tour is not possible to complete at night time but the cache itself can be fetched at any time. The tour itself is T1 but the terrain at the cache itself is slightly more challenging and if there is thick snow then T2 might be closer to the truth. The Wherigo tour takes between 45 minutes to below two hours depending on how fast you can waddle and read through the descriptions. But it is recommended that you reserve time for the sights! You might also be able to find other geocaches along the route so geotourists are recommended to keep an eye out for nearby caches.
