Zhishanyan (芝山岩) is a small hill in Shilin, Taipei. It's height is only 50M but is the only place in Taipei covers ecology, archaeology and cultural history that date back to 7000 years ago. The hill is covered by boardwalks or stairs to preserve the habitats of the nature so you can relax and enjoy while caching.
On the right of the beautiful grand entrance of temple 惠濟宮 lies a path that leads to the hill. There are many entrances to the hill including the entrance to the temple itself as all the paths are connected. The temple itself is worth a visit with beautiful architecture and art work around. See if you could spot a historic gate 芝山岩隘門 and stones/boulders 蛇蛙石 that tell the story of villagers who used to live here.
