Zhishanyan (芝山岩) is a small hill in Shilin, Taipei. Its height is only 50M but it is the only place in Taipei that covers ecology, archaeology and cultural history that date back to 7000 years ago. The hill is covered by boardwalks and stairs to preserve the habitats of the nature so you can relax and enjoy while caching.
The Library 雨農閱覽室 used to be a Japanese shrine for teaching Taiwanese Japanese. The shrine was torn down and turned into a reading room as you can see today. There is a monument to remember the people who died in the fight during the Japanese colonial era.
The cache is hidden under the sign for a 300-year-old camphor tree (believe to be the oldest tree in Taipei city)
