Zhishanyan (芝山岩) is a small hill in Shilin, Taipei. Its height is only 50M but it is the only place in Taipei covers ecology, archaeology and cultural history that date back to 7000 years ago. The hill is covered by boardwalks or stairs to preserve the habitats of the nature so you can relax and enjoy while caching.
West fort is one of the 3 forts on Zhishanyan. It has been transformed into an observation deck now with some of its structures preserved. Standing there, you'd be able to see what the soldiers saw in the past. There are also many structures used by the military before and after republic. Can you spot them during your hike?
