This cache was placed during our (CocaColaCacher and myself) fifth annual paddle through The Richmond Fen.
Like our previous paddles, a lot has changed.
It seems every year the paddle route changes somewhat, usually in the area we refer to as the "beaver dam"
Spring time after the annual Jock River race (ensures the route is clear), or after a heavy rainfall, are the best times to visit the Fen, otherwise you risk doing a lot of "rock gardening" with your canoe or kayak.
This cache is placed where we found Jock River Pioneers 5 years ago.
While at the location today, I noticed the whole area on both side of the river were covered in Fiddleheads.
