10 Years ago today I, Mr. T2, found a geocache in Hawaii called “Leave 'Em In Stitches” https://coord.info/GL2GZVFZ I with Garberc (Now DaPhOOz). That experience would be the beginning of a hobby, sport, or whatever you call it that has shaped the Turrell2’s life for the past 10 years.
This is an event to celebrate Tim and Patty’s 10 year geocaching anniversary, but for us, caching is really about the people that we have had the pleasure of meeting during those 10 years. I could not imagine enjoying caching without my fellow cachers. I can't event start to list the geocachers by name who we have established friendships with as I would surely leave someone out. However, if there was a list it would include the people that the T2s have been on cache runs with, shared FTF’s with, traded pathtags with, see only once or twice a year at events, and those that always seem to be gracious to us when we run into them. It has been such a pleasure to have made friends not only from Northern Alabama, but those in the Birmingham area, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas, and Indiana just to name a few places. Also, we could not leave out all the great geo-dogs that we have ran into on the trail such as Bailey, Buddy, Bully, Jake, and many others that we have crossed paths and paws with. Our geo-dogs (Bella and Sophie) are a huge part of our life and have been a big part of our geocaching travels.
The geocaching community is awesome and we hope to continue on our adventures and meet even more friends along the way.
Anyway, if you are available please join us at one of our favorite meeting places to share some stories and hang out. We will be there from 5:30 PM until 7 PM (maybe longer, but those are the event hours.)
This event is at a fun and pretty much a family friendly place; but keep in mind that they do serve fermented beverages.
