All Hands On Deck Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SirGerald: As I promised UtahAdmin, I'm archiving this cache so I can place a new one, "NUTCO TB B&B", in the same location. There is just one card left to trade and it is moved to the new cache (in the same place).

Geocache Description:

This is in an urban area. You can drive to within 130 feet of the cache. There may be some weeds to hike through.

There is a similar cache "Playing With A Full Deck????" by SpiderTracks (GC585C) out near Duchesne. I liked the theme of this cache but don't get out there very often. With SpiderTracks' blessing I have recreated it here in Utah County where I hope it will get more action.

The idea is simple: The cache begins with a complete deck of playing cards, all with matching backs. The back design of this deck is of a Riverboat. The idea is to have visitors bring one card (with a different back) from a deck of their own to trade for one of the cards in the original deck that has not yet been traded. When it's done, I'll hopefully have a complete deck of 54 cards each with a different back design. Since I will be collecting the cards traded in periodically so I don't lose them to the Evil Plunderer, you can't be sure your card is different from all others that have been traded. Just try to bring one that is a bit unusual if you can. But even if all you have is a normal, common, every-day, run-of-the-mill card design, come anyway. The fun is in the participation.

It is acceptable to trade in multiple cards with matching backs as long as there is a good reason for doing so; such as a husband and wife trading the King and Queen with matching cards. If you do so, please state your reasoning since it may not be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer (me).

I realize that this would destroy a good deck of yours, but don't you have a deck or two that's a bit worn or from which the children have mutilated or lost some already?

Guidelines for Trading:
1) Trade only for a card of the same suit and rank. That is: trade a 2 of Hearts for a 2 of Hearts. This way the deck remains complete, just weird.
2) Each incoming card MUST have a different back design from the original Riverboat deck.
3) Log your visit in the log book and on the web page so I can keep it up-to-date. Please include the card you traded and a description of the back design (ie. Blue Hoyle, Red Bicycle, Flowers, etc.)

See the photo below for a look at some of the card backs I've gotten so far.
