Geocache Description:


Following the archiving of our original Thorn Wood cache series, we have placed another short series around the wood which should take between 1 and 2 hours

Hope you enjoy the variety of cache types and hides.

Cache placed with the kind permission of the Woodland Trust.

Cache is a camo'ed plastic tube.

Please replace cache exactly as found and do not post photos or excessive descriptions of the cache.

In order to work out the final cache coordinates you'll need to answer these thorny questions ...

  • "Thorn in My A" was a 1986 song recorded by British pop music duo Eurythmics.
  • A woven crown of thorns was placed on the head of B during the events leading up to his crucifixion.
  • What colour thorn, C, also known as 'sloe', is a small deciduous tree native to the UK.
  • Moloch Horridus is an Australian lizard, also known as the thorny D.
  • The Thorn E was a 1983 popular, award-winning mini-series based on the novel of the same title by Colleen McCullough.
  • F Thorn was a fictional character and the primary antagonist of The Omen series. He was the Antichrist and the son of the Devil.
  • Nicolaus G was born in Thorn, Poland and was an astronomer, best known for his theory that the Sun, and not the Earth, is at the centre of the universe.
  • There are H spikes on the official geocaching.com attribute icon for thorns.
