Geocache Description:

Why I Created this Trail

This Cache is part of a series entitled, "State Trash Land," the point of the trail is to take you through one of the local state trust lots available for use by the public.

I grew up Mountain biking, shooting and off-roading on these wonderful lands but for years the surropunding area has been abused by construction workers and citizens alike until most of the entrances for cars were shut in, large amounts of trash and debree are dumped in these lands creating a terrible enviornment for wildlife.

What I ask of you

If every person that visited this Cache series picked up a trash bag's worth of trash, or carried out one large piece of trash this wonderful land open to all of us to use could be clean again, not only restoring it to its natural state but helping the ecosystem return to its natural state.

Also please tread lightly in this land being careful to not ruin plants and other natural features in this land, please stick to the trail other than to retrieve geocaches

What you Need to Know

This Series of Caches is on Arizona State Trust land and requires a permit to acess this land and to park on it legally. You can easily obtain a permit by visiting http://www.azland.gov. Permits are annual and cost $15. With this permit you can also access any other nearby series such as the Ca$h series or the AZ Stickman series

The climate and terrain in this area is extremely harsh, most of the low level plants and weeds will stick to your socks and prick you for hours on end, bring good hiking shoes as well as enough water for yourself twice over as this area of Arizona is known for its intenese heat.

Also please be careful and respectful to the wildlife in this area, this is the desert and it contains creatures ranging from easy going lizards to deadly rattle snakes. Please be on a constant lookout for dangerous animals in this area

as you walk the trail take note of the enourmous amounts of trash and rubble in the area and understand how practices of dumping can severely affect the growth and development of local ecosystems.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT, HAPPY CACHING!
