Ten years ago today, armed with a Compact Flash GPS receiver in my Pocket PC and a basic 'Follow the Arrow' navigation app I set off to find my first Geocache, and that cache was GC1RZA8 - Gallows Path
The cache was set by a cacher named 'Smurf' - Shaun Murphy, better known as the Reviewer 'Castagnari' who sadly passed away in April 2017.
Shaun became a good friend and always delighted in reminding me that he hid the first Geocache I found.
The original Gallows Path cache was archived in 2013 when they built the road to the new housing estate.
In honour of my 10th caching anniversary and in memory of Shaun I have hidden this cache, it is as close to the original coordinates as is practical.
