The Doris & Al Tobiassen Memorial Forest was donated in 1977 and is located in Tolland at the end of Noah Lane off Grant Hill Road. This 84 acre area is wooded and rolling with old wood roads, two brooks and a few wet areas. The trailhead starts a 1.4 mile, yellow blazed, loop trail. Access to the Weigold Preserve Trail is accessible from the yellow trail. I find the trail wide and enjoyable with slight elevation changes. Following the trail counter clockwise will streamline your adventure.
Permission to place this series was given by Joshua's Trust, officially known as Joshua’s Tract Conservation and Historic Trust, The Trust is a nonprofit and largely volunteer conservation organization protecting more than 4,500 acres in Northeastern Connecticut.
