Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional area that was home to the Cree, Dene, Nakota, Dakota, Lakota, and Saulteaux First Nations and the homeland of the Métis.

Please note that since this is a virtual cache, there is no physical container to be found.  Read the following and include the requested picture in your log.  Logs without reference to a photo will be deleted.  You will not be able to park on the northbound side of the road, but paid parking is available on the southbound side of the road (free after 6 pm and all day Sundays).  A waypoint to nearby free parking areas has been included.  Have fun!

The statue located here commemorates local radio celebrity Denny Carr, who plied his trade on Saskatoon airways for nearly 40 years.  He was active in many community service organizations and was well known for starting the Secret Santa Campaign, a program that helps to provide food and toys to children at Christmas.  Denny became a Member of the Order of Canada in 1999, the same year he died of cancer.  He was an avid jogger, as the statue portrays.  Every year at Christmas time someone dresses the statue up in gear for the Secret Santa Campaign.  Over the last several years people have started dressing the statue for other occasions, most notably at Halloween!  Denny has been dressed as Optimus Prime, Iron Man, and Wolverine.

Now is your chance to join the fun!  In order to claim this virtual cache as found, you must include with your log a picture of the statue of Denny Carr dressed up in costume!  Extra kudos to those who pose in costume too!  If you are unable to pose with the statue, try to include a thumbs up or your GPS receiver in your picture (or something else that can be used to identify you).

Now, to get your creative juices flowing.  You could always pick a 'cheesy' costume:

Or something a little more risque:

Or just grab whatever you have at home and do your best!

This was a lot of fun to do during rush hour.  A lot of people honked and yelled out supportive messages.  Don't bother trying to be stealthy - you'll miss half the fun!
