Die Gedenkstätte im ehem. Konzentrationslager Mauthausen soll weder Hass noch Vergeltung symbolisieren. Sie ist ein stummes Mahnmal, das niemals vergessen lassen soll, wohin der Verlust der Menschlichkeit und die Respektlosigkeit vor dem menschlichen Leben führen können. Für immer in Erinnerung sollen alle jene bleiben, die hier gelitten und dem grausamen NS-Regime Widerstand geleistet haben. Sie sind es, die den Grundstein für unsere heutige Freiheit und den Frieden gelegt haben.
Zu besichtigen sind die erhalten gebliebenen Bauten und Anlagen des ehem. Konzentrationslagers, das Museum "Geschichte des Konzentrationslagers Mauthausen" sowie die ständige Ausstellung "Österreich in nationalsozialistischen Konzentrationslagern".
Deine Aufgabe:
- Mach ein aktuelles Foto von dir oder eine deiner persönlichen Sachen, bei irgendeinem Denkmal im frei zugänglichen Denkmalbereich und lade es mit deinem Log hoch.
- 10m hinter dem sowjetischen Denkmal befindet sich eine Grabplatte. Wann wurde diese angefertigt? Monat Jahr. Sende die Antwort über das Message Center.

The memorial in the former concentration camp Mauthausen should symbolise neither hatred nor repayment. It is a dumb memorial which should never let forget where the loss of the humanity and the disrespect can lead before the human life. For good in recollection should remain all that which have suffered here and have offered to the cruel Nazi regime resistance. They are it which have laid the foundation-stone for our today's freedom and the peace.
The been preserved constructions and arrangements are to be visited former. Of concentration camp, the museum "history of the concentration camp Mauthausen" as well as the constant exhibition "Austria in national-socialist concentration camps".
