Why not leave the car on the mainland and walk this route to Lindisfarne imagining that you are a pilgrim from many centuries ago? Or for extra points leave the car in Melrose and walk the 62 miles of St.Cuthbert's Way of which this is the last stage!
This crossing, like the 1950s causeway, is only possible either side of low tide.
There is plenty of information online about the route, advice on how to attempt it safely and most importantly links to the tide times.
The less I reproduce here, the more likely you are to seek out the most up to date information!
It's a great walk and not particularly strenuous BUT it is your responsibility to only attempt it when it is safe to do so.
To claim this cache please send me a message with the following information.
1) What is at the given coordinates?
2) What is the distance from the given coords to the third marker pole to the west?
3) What is the distance from the given coords to the third marker pole to the east?
4) What is the distance from the given coords to the tenth marker pole in either the east or west direction? Tell me which you have chosen.
And finally
5) Upload a photo to your log looking eastwards from the coords that incorporates something to make it unique, be it your GPS, a random body part (of your own!) or the smiling faces of your friends.
Please don't give away the answer to Q1 in your photo and I may delete any "find" logs if I don't receive a corresponding message within a few days at most.
There is no need to wait for me to reply to your email before logging your find. I may not read it for a few days and probably won't reply unless I want to query an answer with you.

I've added q4 bumping the photo requirement down to no.5. Too many people are way out with their distances and I suspect some may never even have left their cars!
The spirit of this cache is to walk the Pilgrim's Route. I realise some people may not have time for the whole walk or be on their own making it harder to juggle cars etc. The added question is to make it harder to avoid going at least halfway.
I expect answers to be within a few metres. Use your GPS!
