From Sussex head out towards Poley Mountain. Before Poley you'll
see Parlee Brook Road on your right. Take it around 6.2kms (the
final two thirds will be dirt road). At 6.2kms Parlee Brook road
ends and it splits into two roads - Donaldson Rd to the right and
Walker Settlement Rd. to the left. Park here. You will see a trail
extending between these two roads where Parlee Brook Road would
continue on if it did. This trail follows the river for about 100m.
Now it's time to rock hop for a half a km or so until you reach the
first large falls at N45 38.272 W65 23.734 (after that you may need
to take a path in the woods to the left for a bit then back to rock
hopping again). Alternatively you can whack your way thru the woods
about 20 m to the left of the river the whole way - keeping the
river in sight so you don't get off track (Red Witch and Annie
don't recommend this way as they ended up getting off track and
felt too lost to continue on.) After the big falls continue another
50m or so and you'll see another smaller falls. 50 more metres and
another small falls. Continue on a bit further and look up on your
left for the cache. It is a plastic bottle. The cache is under the
roots of a tree.
There is no trail for this one and rock hopping or tree whacking
is not for everyone. The falls are nice though if you decide to
make the hike in. With a trail 700m normally would only take
15minutes. Count on at least 30-40 minutes since you need to make a
trail yourself. Don't give up. :->
