Please know that the Indiana reviewers have done everything in their power to keep as many caches as possible on IDNR lands and to make this transition as smooth as possible. They have worked long and hard with the IDNR to come up with a new policy that will work for most cache owners. We are very sorry for any inconvenience the implementation of this permit process may cause.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on Trail #5 in Spring Mill State Park on Hwy 60 near Mitchell, Indiana. There is a fee to enter the park.

We parked at 38º 44.213N 086º 24.771. From this location, it is a very short hike to the cache. If, that is, you cross the bridge and enter the trail at the trail head you will find by the side of the road. There is a trail head at the parking location as well.

Trail #5 is a mile long loop that circumnavigates a small lake. You will not regret it if you walk the whole trail.
Unfortunately, we could not walk the whole length of the trail. Wanda had encountered an allergen or two and was having some difficulty, so we cut our hike short, and I had a tongue-in-cheek name for the cache.

You'll be looking for a water bottle.
