Geocache Description:

This monument was erected in 1887 based upon a survey done in 1728 to settle the disputed border between Virginia and North Carolina.  To log this virtual cache, please post a photo of you or your GPSr/Phone with the monument visible.

Terrain may vary depending on your approach. If coming from the Virginia side, it is a long bike or hike through Back Bay Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park. If coming from the North Carolina side, you may need a four-wheel drive vehicle to drive in sand.

Be sure to log Benchmark FW1612  while you are here!
