OBIETTIVO: TROVARE ALMENO 5 MOSAICI DI INVADER.

Invader è un artista francese celebre in tutto il mondo, noto per i suoi alieni pixellati. Le incursioni artistiche nelle città che visita sono chiamate nel suo sito waves, ossia "ondate", e Ravenna ne ha già due: nel 2014 e poi 2015. Invader ha scelto finora solo due città in Italia per le sue "invasioni": Ravenna e Roma.

La sua tecnica artistica prevede l'installazione di mattonelle colorate che danno vita a piccole raffigurazioni realizzate in mosaico.

La prima incursione avvenne su invito dell'associazione Pianeta Marte, che chiese all'artista di realizzare un'opera per il Planetario dei Giardini pubblici. Invader realizzò per l'occasione un mosaico raffigurante Spock, l'icona della serie tv di fantascienza Star Trek (Waypoint 14: Invader RA_01).

In tutto, l'artista ha lasciato oltre 40 opere a Ravenna.  Purtroppo però, alcune non sono più visibili. Non essendo "ufficiali" alcune sono state rimosse, per esempio il caso del mosaico raffigurante Giustiniano e Teodora, creato in via Galla Placidia.

Nonostante alcune rimozioni, numerosi sono i mosaici street di Invader da scoprire a Ravenna e dintorni, posti in punti strategici.

Andare alla loro ricerca è molto stimolante.

New Mosaic of Ravenna è stata l'importante mostra che Invader ha portato nel 2017 addirittura ad Hong Kong. Esposte erano le foto delle installazioni ravennati e 25 edizioni deluxe della guida New Mosaic of Ravenna, settima opera dell'artista.

Le strade di Ravenna, attenta alle nuove forme d’arte, è il posto ideale per scoprire questo artista!

Requisiti per loggare la cache:

Trova 5 (cinque) mosaici di Invader a scelta e fai la foto di te mentre li indichi col dito, oppure fai una foto con il tuo nickname e la data con il mosaico visibile.

Le coordinate ti porteranno a scoprire uno dei più bei mosaici di Invader a Ravenna. Da qui puoi proseguire verso i prossimi mosaici usando i waypoint a disposizione. Oppure puoi semplicemente partire da uno qualsiasi dei waypoint. Punti bonus per chi posta più di 5 mosaici.

L'idea originale di questa virtual cache era di utilizzare la mappa allegata in galleria (Ravenna Invasion Map) per cercare i mosaici come in una vera caccia al tesoro, ma purtroppo questo sembra andasse contro le linee guida anche se ci sono esempi di virtual cache simili (es. GC892WC, GC892MZ).
Per gli hardcore geocacher, che vogliono cimentarsi in questa sfida (opzionale) di cercare i mosaici senza waypoint, lasciamo la mappa nella galleria immagini.
Inoltre per chi volesse, c'è anche la possibilità di abbinare a questa virtual la ricerca con l'app ufficiale FlashInvaders (download qui)

TASK: FINDING AT LEAST 5 INVADER MOSAICS.

Invader is a world-famous French artist known for his pixelated aliens. The artistic forays into the cities he visits are called "waves", and Ravenna already has two: in 2014 and in 2015. Invader has chosen so far only two cities in Italy for his "invasions": Ravenna and Rome.

His artistic technique involves the installation of colored tiles that create small representations made with the mosaic technique.

The first foray took place due to the Pianeta Marte association's invitation, which asked the artist to create a work for the Planetarium on the public gardens. Invader created for the occasion a mosaic depicting Spock, the icon of the science fiction TV series Star Trek (Waypoint 14: Invader RA_01).

In total, the artist left over 40 works In Ravenna. Unfortunately, some are no longer visible. Not being "official" some have been removed, for example the case of the mosaic depicting Justinian and Theodora, in Via Galla Placidia.

Despite some removals, there are numerous Invader street mosaics to be discovered in Ravenna and its surroundings, which are placed in strategic points.

Going in search of them is very exciting.

New Mosaic of Ravenna was an important exhibition that Invader even brought to Hong Kong in 2017. It showed photos of Ravenna installations and 25 deluxe editions of the New Mosaic of Ravenna guide, the artist's seventh work.

The streets of Ravenna, devoted to new forms of art, is the ideal place to discover this artist!

Requirements for logging the cache:

Find 5 (five) Invader mosaics of your choice and take a picture of yourself while pointing them with your finger, or with your nickname, the date and the mosaic.

The coordinates lead you to discover one of the most beautiful Invader's mosaic in Ravenna. From here you can proceed to the next mosaics simply using the provided waypoints. Or you can just start from any of the waypoints. Bonus points for those who post more than 5 mosaics.

The original idea of this virtual cache was to use the map provided in the gallery (Ravenna Invasion Map) to search for the mosaics like in a real trasure hunt, but unfortunately this seems to be against the guidelines although there are examples of similar virtual caches (e.g. GC892WC, GC892MZ).
For the hardcore geocachers, who want to deal with this (optional) challenge of looking for mosaics without waypoints, we left the map in the gallery.
Furthermore, there's also the possibility of combining this virtual with the search using the official FlashInvaders app (download here)
