Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Scarborough Reverse Wherigo! This is a Wherigo cache, with a double twist. The cache is not at the posted coordinates. The first twist is that a reverse Whereigo is not like a regular Whereigo. To play this Whereigo cartridge you must go to the three different coordinates (more on that below) to make some observations and do some math. Once you have done the math you will have the 3 Codes necessary to play the Whereigo cartridge. You can do the stages in any order. The cache at the final location is a micro-sized canister that has only a logbook. Please bring your own writing instrument to sign the logbook and replace as found.

--------------------------------------------------

Before you begin the actual Whereigo section you will need to decode 3 sets of coordinates then go to those coordinates to gather information (this is the second twist as normally the 3 x 6-digit Codes are provided in the cache listing). There is some math (a couple of sections below) to perform with this information that will give you the 3 Codes needed for the Whereigo cartridge.

To get the necessary information, you will have to complete 3 online jigsaw puzzles. When you have put the final piece of each jigsaw in place in place, you will see a message on your screen with coordinates for this waypoint and instructions telling you what question needs to be answered at that waypoint. Pay attention and write everything down (or take a screen shot, photo, etc.) because if you close the screen you will have to do the jigsaw puzzle over again to get the coordinates/questions again. Are you ready? Then let's begin!

The first set of coordinates (hidden Waypoint 01 in the cache listing) will be revealed when you complete this online jigsaw puzzle.

The second set of coordinates (hidden waypoint 02) will be revealed when you complete this online jigsaw puzzle.

The third set of coordinates (hidden waypoint 03) are revealed when you finish this online jigsaw puzzle.

Once you have received the coordinates and question, proceed to the locations and determine the answer to the questions. These answers will be used as part of the math below to determine the 3 Codes required for the Reverse Whereigo cartridge.

--------------------------------------------------

This Wherigo converts your player into a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box" which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing. Once you have performed the tasks above, calculated the required codes (below) and you may begin your search using your Smartphone or Wherigo compatible GPS to navigate to the cache. The final cache is located within 3.2KM of the posted coordinates.

The cartridge was created by -Waldmeister- and is available to DOWNLOAD HERE.

-Waldmeister-'s "The first Reverse Cache [WIG]" is the original cache in this family.

Your task is to find the cache by periodically querying your Reverse Cache Box for the distance to the final location. Try to use your Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All instructions and necessary information needed to complete the cartridge is contained within it. The cartridge is multilingual.

Before you begin using the Whereigo cartridge, you will have to determine the three 6-digit codes required to play the cartridge.

--------------------------------------------------

A link to an answer checker is provided to help you verify that you have the correct codes before you begin your quest for the cache.

Code 1: 563306 - [the answer at Waypoint 01] Verify your answer here.

Code 2: 613639 + [the answer at Waypoint 02] Verify your answer here.

Code 3: 600284 + [the answer at Waypoint 03] Verify your answer here.

Now that you have the 3 Codes you can launch the Whereigo cartridge and enter them to begin searching for the final cache location! It is suggested that you take the code with you on your journey...it will be needed if it becomes necessary to restart your player for any reason.

When you have reached the final, you will be given some statistics on your quest. If you wish, you may enter the details into your log, and also post the number of times you calculated the distance.

Please do not include hints in your log about where and how you found the cache or post photos that would give away the final location. Any logs that contains spoilers will be deleted.

--------------------------------------------------

OPTIONAL - If you are interested in making your own Reverse Whereigo Cache.

At the end of the game, you will be given a personal passcode. You can enter this passcode when you start the cartridge after you select "create" rather than "play". This passcode allows you to create your own reverse cache if you would like.
