This year’s meet & greet prior to the 2019 Albany Challenge IX (GC895QD ) event will be held on Friday, August 23. We’ll be meeting in the fellowship hall of the Albany Mennonite Church, 3405 Kizer Avenue NE, Albany, OR 97322 from 5 to 7 (or until the last person leaves). As always, this is a time to meet other geocachers and swap stories from your summer geocaching adventures, meet new geocachers and renew old acquaintances. This event began 8 years ago as a picnic in the park so you’re welcome to bring your “picnic” and fellowship around the table. If you wish to bring snacks/finger foods to share, you’re welcome to do that too. We’ll do the usual introductions and give you a preview of the coin challenge the next day.
For those of you that are interested, later that evening, the annual Night Glow event that’s part of the Northwest Art & Air Festival, will take place just up the road at the fairgrounds.
