We visited several times the area of Luino. This time we discovered this wonderful hidden valley which leads to the Cascada della Froda a place like in a fairy tail.
This is now your final destination.
Passing a steel bridge and climbing up a steel ladder brings you to the first lagoon.
From here you have to climb in a freestyle mode to the next higher lagoon. A steel chain which is attached to the rock wall may help you.
ATTENTION:
We placed the cache end of May: the water level was very low and the lagoons very small. If you go there in the rainy season or in winter it can be very dangerous. So before you step on the metal bridge to enter the area please think about if you really can do it with the existing conditions.
You should know:
- The complete area is very slippery.
- Falling into the water stream is ice cold and you could be entrained by the water stream and pushed into the direction of the lower waterfall.
- You should always pay attention on your childern. In bad conditions you should not bring children here: Just take some photos and leave without the cache !
