Back in April 2013 I found an amazing spot beside the Whanganui river and decided to place a field puzzle cache as the cache hide. Little did I know that in six months time from placing this cache the Whanganui river would flood and wash away my field puzzle cache. A little disheartened I replaced this field puzzle cache with another only to have this washed away in the devastating June 2015 flood. After this flood I decided to replace the field puzzle cache with a standard container, just in case the Whanganui river wants to flood yet again. This cache is called Panda Paradise and is still active today although it remains without the field puzzle cache.
I did, however, create another field puzzle cache as it was fun to make and I hoped one day I would find a suitable spot for it. Well, that day has come and it has a few nods from it's rich history. The first nod is that it is still beside the Whanganui river, this time however a little higher where it has no chance of washing away - help us all if this gets wash away! The second nod is what this cache is surrounded by - this will bring a grin or two I'm sure from cachers who have completed my Panda Paradise cache. The third nod is that it has the original panda picture on the instructions sheet.
This cache hide is designed to be a straight forward find (you are looking for a 2L sistema container) with the focus on the location (cool view of the Whanganui River) and having fun with the field puzzle. Definitely a cache to take the kids to however be mindful that there is a steep bank nearby so care is needed.
There is a FTF prize but it will remain a mystery.
