A Series geared to our Basic Members --- to help make you Geocache Addicts --- that will require Trail walking, but with full Amenities nearby. It will take you into the North Woods of the Park. Do not worry, you cannot get lost here: you can only go so far.
I have provided Waypoints for helpful Trailheads. If you appear to suddenly be moving away from the GZ, relax, you will soon come to an intersecting Trail that you can pick up.
For those who want a Self-Guided Tour of the Woods, start with the "The Shepard" Cache, utilizing the Shepard Trail Trailhead. From that point on, find the remaining Caches in order of proximity.
This Cache is locate just off of a Connecting Trail that connects one of the Main Trails and the Boy Scouts’ "Shepard" Horticultural Trail.
2" Dia x 3" Long. Log only; bring a Pen. Please be sure to check that the Lid Gasket (black) is still in place before screwing Lid back on.
(BTW- No Ghostwriting! If your friends weren't here with you when you found it, please don't enter them in the Log nor have them Log the find as theirs. It's poor Gamesmanship and against the Rules of Geocaching. Besides, it's cheating, and no one likes Cheaters.)
