Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the "Schottenwald" near the Jubiläumswarte. This is a recreation area in Vienna.

This cache is our first cache in Vienna.

It's located near the Jubiläumswarte from where you have a spectacular view over Vienna. To find the cache you have to go to N 48°13.281 E 16°15.938. Go up, count the stairs and enjoy...

The cache coordinates in the header ( N 48°13.044 E 16°15.759 ) are not complete! You have to add the number of stairs to the last three digits of the latitude to get the real cache coordinates. The cache box is located at the root of a tree, covered with some wood.

The cache consists of the obligative log and pen which should not be removed, headphones, a cow (no not a real one :-), a small book from I. Asimov (german), 1 original Austrian Schilling and a corkscrew.

Good luck!

Additional Hints (No hints available.)

  • The cacheWe made this image just before hiding the cache container. As you can see we drive motorcycle, use a Magellan GPS receiver and like sweet "Manner Schnitten" :-)
  • The viewHere we are at the "Jubiläumswarte" before sundown.
