This cache replaces another cache (GC72XJ8) that was nearby and fell foul of the public utility box guidelines.
Without a doubt the wine industry is the driving force behind Marlborough's economy and this cache replaces the one that was the first in a series by Kiwimykl to highlight the industry.
Drylands was one of New Zealand's first wineries to produce vibrant and zesty Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand's famous Marlborough region on the South Island. The Drylands Home Block vineyard is located in Marlborough's esteemed Golden Triangle area. It is one of Marlborough's original Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, planted on its own roots in 1980, back when the now world-renowned wine region was just developing. Revered for its vines natural state of equilibrium, Home Block is one of only two original plantings in Marlborough that remain intact today. The cache is 200ml Sistema click-clack container with a write in the rain log sheet held in place by gravity.
Although there is a writing implement provided it is always recommended to B.Y.O.P
Wine Marlborough list 168 wineries on their website and at the time of listing this is the first in the series. So there is plenty of potential for more in this series.
At time of listing there was some SWAG included in the cache.
Update: 14 February 2023 - At the time of placing the branding on this establishment was 'Drylands'. Since then the establishment has either been sold or rebranded and now displays 'constellation Brands' branding.
