This cache is accessible from inside or outside the Park. Sunset, Mr.Yodels
and I, used the park trail system to place our hides.
From outside the Park, there are two parking areas;
A) Heading west from Rt.425 and Rt.18, 1.2 mi., across from W. Lake Rd. intersection, there is a one car space,( tiny yellow markers ), @ N 43*18.414 / W 078*50.221. From here you are on your own. Look for trailhead & map board in front of you.
B) West of Main Park entrance, 1/10 mi.on right, oppisite large green barn. There are spaces for several cars there, @ N43*18.435 / W078*51.240. From here head NNE towards paybooth, just past it is a green trail marker, head east to intersection, take right and goto N 43*18.671 / W 078* 50.593. You may encounter a short cut enroute. Once you arrive
at the cross trail, left takes you to the boat trailer parking area, trailhead-100yds away. To go further, you must decrypt the clues.
From inside the Park, there are also, two parking areas;
A) The "Bath House" lot, on right,( 2nd stop sign ) @ N 43*18.694 / W 078*51.010. From here follow the powerline trail SE, to cross trail and head east to end,and across the drainage ditch (no water), turn right to trailhead and map board.
B) The "Boat Trailer" overflow lot, head to boat launch area it's on right, @ N 43.18.741 / W 078*50.688. There are restrooms, drinking fountain, and pop machine across "Boat Launch Rd."
I highly recommend when you come out, to bring lunch, or dinner and plan on spending some time to enjoy the beauty. There are picnic grills, a beach, "Disc (Frisbee) Golf " 18 hole par 3, playground for the kids, boats in the harbor, but, most of all, the sunsets over Lake Ontario - with a view of Toronto, Canada, on a clear evening. At the East end of the harbor are small shops, my favorite is the ice cream shop.
