DNR found this cache & assumed it was placed during an old event hosted by the DNR since its filled with DNR swag. He gave me permission to publish it.
After noting another cache with the same name 27 miles away, I did some checking... W0mxm mentioned in a log it was filled with koozies too. Hmmm...
Team_Schnauzer joined in the detective work & got a lead. After talking with captainj, it's been identified as his cache that went missing at a truck stop near Ames... He assumed someone stole it for a Porta Potty! (Ewww).
We assume someone randomly found the bucket; signed the log (not a geocaching registered name) and moved it along so it could be found again.
Schneider was spammed with all the messages as we figured out the mystery of the disappearing cache.
Summer 2020 the Mystery Hotel disappeared again & was replaced. TB's should beware this may be a haunted hotel that mysteriously disappears!
