Strictly for those who like 4-by-4'ing or ATVing,this makes for a great trip. There is a lovely little lake and a couple of campsites. The perfect spot to stop for lunch or to spend the week-end. Even has some jumping rocks for swimming. If you try fishing let us know how you fare out.
On Hwy. 17 , N46 10.274 W 077 47.846, turn left onto Ashport Road, and then take a right onto Francoeur's Road. Go over the train tracks, across Findlay Creek. Approx 5 km. you will come to a fork in the road, where you will keep right. After another 4km. you will see a sign for Rat Lake, and you will know you are still on the right road. If you stay on this road, keep going straight for another 6 km., N46 05.399 W 077 48.428, you will come to a very picturesque little lake. Now let the search begin.....
