I hope you find this "springy" spot as
magnificant as I do. Take your time and enjoy the area. The
tree coverage down there makes it hard to get good satelite
reception. After leaving the boardwalk, my only reccomendation
is to stick to the hillside, as the bottom is mucky (please do
not use the slope, it can be treacherous, as seen in the photo
at right).
12-3-03, 7-19-2006 NOTE: Please Do NOT
trudge down and up the hill... I cannot stress this enough.
Use the stairs that are available at the Iargo Springs parking
area. It causes excess errosion on the SLOPE where more springs may
emerge and trickle down to the bottom. Minor traipsing past the
boardwalk is okay as it does not impact the area where the springs
may come out further up the hill, besides, they may be expanding
the boardwalk right past the cache anyway. Thank you for visiting
and respecting this fantastic place.
A little off the beaten path, you will be looking for a 40
oz. container. PLEASE use the Ziploc Baggies!!! I'm trying to
introduce a rule of thumb for the longevity of my and other caches.
Putting lots of baggies in a cache is important. Please put all
items in a baggie (whether you think it needs it or not (once it
gets moist, mold may ensue)). The LOG BOOK should be double bagged
with the Pen and Pencil in the outer bag (to prevent poking holes
in the bag with the log book). This really helps to keep the
contents dry. Even though a container may be sealed when placed,
sometimes things may make tiny holes in the container, condensation
is the real enemy, and often occurs whether there are holes or not.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMPLIANCE!
