Geocache Description:

The posted coordinates are at 111 Songjiang Road. The cache is not located here; this location simply gives a hint to the theme of this mystery cache.

Answer the following questions to determine the final coordinates. Two sites that can help you are here and here. Good luck!

1. The 1st geocache was hidden on May 3rd, 2000. Who hid this first cache?
__________ Ulmer (First name - 4 letters)

2. Who was the FTF for this 1st geocache?
__________ Teague (First name - 4 letters)

3. The coordinates for this 1st cache are N45° 17.460 W122° 24.800. Its name is "The Original Stash." What is its geocaching GC code? (For example, the GC code for this cache is GC8A4ZX)
GC__ (1 letter) Secret hint: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCF

4. The 1st geocache contained several items. However, the only item that remains to this day is now a trackable called the "O.C.B."
O.C.B. means "Original Can of _______." (5 letters)

5. A few months after this 1st cache, the website www.geocaching.com was launched. The man who started it had worked in the U.S. Air Force as a Mandarin Chinese linguist. Who is he?
__________ Irish (First name - 6 letters)

6. The 1st geocache placed outside of the U.S. was in which country?
________ _________ (2 words - 10 letters total)

7. The coordinates S11° 11.111 E111° 11.111 are located closest to which country?
__________ (9 letters)

Now, enter the answers as one string of characters, without spaces, at the Certitude checker below. Case doesn't matter. For example: ILoveGeocaching or ilovegeocaching are both OK.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Remember to bring a pen; the log must be signed to be a valid Find.

With this cache I have broken the curse on myself. Who will be next?

Welcome to the "Curse of the FTF Series!"

The "rules" are simple: but totally OPTIONAL of course.

  • If you are the FTF for this cache in this series you are welcome to place another cache in the series to keep this series growing.

  • Any cache type can be placed within the series.

  • But be careful because the Curse of the FTF may fall upon you and it might be hard to achieve another FTF if you don't complete the task within 30 days.

  • Most importantly, have fun and be creative!

Let's see how long we can keep this series alive!

P.S. Remember, the "rules" above are strictly for fun and not a requirement for finding this cache. Anyone can of course find and log this cache but as a little "fun" added to the game, I have proposed this little activity for the FTF Cacher to place another cache within the series if he or she so desires.
