This Moss Lake Series cache will take you out, around Moss Lake, on the 2.5 mile bridal path. The history of this place can be found at the parking lot trailhead. You can hike either clockwise or counterclockwise from the trailhead...your choice......but be sure to log in at the register for the sake of safety and so that the local ranger can keep track of the usage of this beautiful place. Bug spray may be helpful if you intend to hike all the way around.
You can find this cache in a pretty area that is off the main trail. I like to come here because there always seems to be a breeze here and I wish I could spot a moose in the stream bed below! Instructions: If you have gone CLOCKWISE on the bridal path, cross the outlet bridge, go up the hill and look for a side trail away from the lake ON THE LEFT. Take it and walk away from the lake. If you have gone COUNTERCLOCKWISE on the bridal path as you approach the cache location look for a side trail TO THE RIGHT. Take it and walk away from the lake. If you reach the outlet bridge you have gone too far. The cache is about 100 feet from the main trail. An easy walk in a beautiful forest.
You are looking for a peanut butter sized container. Little kids can easily identify the spot.
