Kennedy Space Center, 20 luglio 1969. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin e Micheal Collins, geocachers del team Apollo 11, sono a un passo dall'ottenere il loro più prestigioso FTF, sulla cache Luna, D/T 5/5. La storia narra che Collins parcheggiò a poca distanza dalla Luna, da qui Armstrong e Aldrin proseguirono con l'Eagle fino alla superficie lunare, che raggiunsero alle 22:17 ora italiana. La ricerca non fu semplice, alla fine la cache fu trovata alle ore 4:56 italiane da Armstrong, che firmò il logbook con la celebre frase "Questo è un piccolo passo per un uomo, ma un grande passo per l'umanità." Dopo lunghe ricerche abbiamo scoperto che in realtà la seconda parte era diversa e faceva riferimento alla cena con cui avrebbero celebrato qualche giorno dopo. Sembra anche che il team Apollo 11 si portò via circa 20 kg di SWAG da regalare agli amici agli eventi successivi.
Per celebrare questo importante anniversario, vi proponiamo un mirabolante evento sul Monte Pisano, che rispetto alla Piana è un po' più vicino alla Luna. Ci troveremo alle 20 circa alle coordinate del listing, cioè all'agriturismo "Il Riccio", località Serra Bassa, strada provinciale 56 Buti-Monte Serra per una cena a base di piatti tipici toscani. La serata proseguirà fino alle 22:17, ora dell'allunaggio, in cui ufficialmente terminerà l'evento. Per chi vuole, la serata continuerà con una camminata al chiaro di Luna per i sentieri del Monte Pisano, sarà possibile cercare qualche vecchia (e forse qualche nuova) cache. Maggiori dettagli nei prossimi giorni. Per la passeggiata è necessaria una torcia, possibilmente frontale.

The story tells that Collins parked a short distance from the Moon, hence Armstrong and Aldrin continued with the Eagle up to the lunar surface, which was reached at 10:17 pm Italian time. The search was not easy, in the end the cache was found at 4:56 am by Armstrong, who signed the logbook with the famous sentence "This is a small step for a man, but a big leap for humanity." After extensive research we discovered that in reality the second part was different and referred to the dinner with which they would celebrate a few days later. It also seems that the Apollo 11 team took away about 20 kg of SWAG to be given to friends at subsequent events.
To celebrate this important anniversary, we propose an amazing event on Monte Pisano, which is a little closer to the Moon than the plain. We will meet at about 8 pm at the coordinates of the listing, that is, at agriturismo "Il Riccio", in Serra Bassa, along the provincial road 56 Buti-Monte Serra for a dinner based on typical Tuscan dishes. The evening will continue until 10:17 pm, the time of the landing, in which the event will officially end. For those who wish, the evening will continue with a walk in the moonlight on the paths of Monte Pisano, it will be possible to look for some old (and perhaps some new) caches.
