WhereIGo Workshop
Far from a traditional cache, whereigos are another experience altogether. This workshop will focus on WhereIgo's from a number of angles to hopefully get them to see more use, more understanding, and even perhaps get a few more people creating them!
-
A somewhat quick introduction to what whereigo's are, and how to play them for anyone that is not familiar. This will be offered first and will be a quick 'how' before we dive into more specifics of whereigos. If you just want to be more familiar with this angle of whereigo's you are welcome to attend and leave if things get too technical for you after this point.
-
Moving on we will explore what whereigo's are capable of to some degree. Even if you've played through some, chances are there are things you haven't seen before! This is the idea phase of the shop, and attendees are welcome to throw around ideas or ask questions.
-
The last part of the class will be putting together a quick whereigo for everyone to see the building basics. It's STRONGLY encouraged for people who want to proceed to this part of the course have access to a laptop they can bring, with the Urwigo builder installed. Available at https://www.urwigo.cz (*Note, while the site's default is not in English, the builder itself functions fully in it, so have no concern on that end.)
Whereigo's can be somewhat intimidating for some people, and the idea of creating one may seem even more so. This workshop hopes to eliminate or at least reduce those concerns! The host is very open to communication about whereigo's in the future and is willing to help beyond just the scope of this class. If any assistance is required before the class in getting the tools installed or the like, don't hesitate to contact me.
More information is likely to be posted to this event as page as the date gets closer.
