Although Bonaire is known for its serene beaches and easy shore diving on the west coast, don't forget to pay a visit to the "rough edges" of the east coast which offer magnificent views of their own. Enjoy the spectacular view of the "Boka Onima" bay. If you look land inwards you will see the 42 meter high rock formation "Kaomati". These giant boulders are a testament to the times when most of Bonaire was still underwater. If you like, you can follow the dirt road all the way up north to Rincon.
Note: the east coast is infamous for its rough terrain. Bring a vehicle that's suitable for off road driving, good footwear, sunscreen and water.
